Rita A. Hao
Rita A. Hao is a member of the technology transfer practice group in the office. Ms. Hao, who is a member of the patent bar, was a partner at Gonzalez & Leigh in San Francisco focusing on intellectual property and civil rights litigation.
Prior to her affiliation with that firm, she completed a three year clerkship with Judge Phyllis Hamilton in U. S. District Court in San Francisco with an emphasis on trial-level patent litigation. She has additional practice experience with McCutchen Doyle and Latham & Watkins where she specialized in patent, trademark, and copyright litigation. Her educational background includes an undergraduate degree from Harvard University in East Asian Studies and Fine Arts. Her law degree is from Columbia University.
