Patricia M. Jasper

Senior Counsel, UCLA

In 1979, Patricia Jasper became the first “official” Campus Counsel in the UC system, with an express delegation from the Office of the General Counsel to provide legal services to the UCLA campus. At UCLA, Patty provides legal services on a wide array of matters, including matters relating to faculty discipline, athletics, conflict of interest, animal and human subjects research, scientific misconduct, intellectual property, graduate students, and business affairs.

Prior to joining the University, she practiced environmental law at the Federal Highway Administration in Washington, D.C., then became a Deputy Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She was later appointed Deputy Counsel to the Governor of Pennsylvania. Patty graduated from Vassar College in 1970 with a BA in History, and received her J.D. from the Catholic University School of Law in 1974.
