Liv Hassett joined the UC Santa Cruz Office of Campus Counsel in May of 2010 as the Associate Campus Counsel and is now serving as Interim Chief Campus Counsel. She advises on a variety of matters for UCSC, including business and real estate transactions, information practices, data use and other privacy-related matters, research, online education, legal operations and copyright.
Prior to joining the University of California, Liv’s primary areas of practice included real estate transactions, construction contracts and consumer law. Liv received her undergraduate degree and J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley (B.A., 1996; J.D., Boalt Hall, 2000).
