Eric K. Behrens
Eric Behrens has served as a University Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel since 1981. Prior to joining the office, Mr. Behrens worked at Landels, Ripley & Diamond in San Francisco. Mr. Behrens is co-leader of the office's litigation group; his primary areas of practice include commercial, construction, employment and estate-related litigation, and bankruptcy matters.
Mr. Behrens is a graduate of Harvard University (A.B., cum laude 1970), Fuller Theological Seminary (M.Div., Highest Honors, 1974), and the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall) (J.D. 1977).
Mr. Behrens is a Life Member of the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation, a former President of the Alameda County Bar Association (1992), has served on the California State Bar Litigation Section Program Committee, and has chaired numerous Alameda County bar sections, including the Bankruptcy Section and the Judicial Evaluations Committee. He is co-author of "Student Loans, Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code and the 1984 Bankruptcy Amendments" 13 J. Coll. at U.L. 1 (1986).
