College preparation outcomes

"A-G" course completion

The "A-G" course pattern is a key part of preparing high school students for higher education in California.

Completion rates for participants in education partnerships programs exceed the statewide UC/CSU course completion rate (as measured by the California Postsecondary Education Commission).

The 'a-g' completion rate for MESA students is 71 percent; EAOP students’ completion rate is 61 percent.

California High School Exit Exam

More students are passing the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE).

Puente Project 10th graders passed the CAHSEE at dramatically higher rates than all economically disadvantaged students statewide: 95 percent versus 61 percent for the English section, and 93 percent versus 59 percent for the math section.

Among 10th grade participants in MESA, 73 percent had passed both the English and math sections.

Standardized test scores

70 percent of grades K-8 participants in the UC Links program were reported to be performing at or above grade level.
