Biography
Maryann Villavert began her UC career at UC Santa Barbara receiving her Bachelor's in Physical Anthropology with a minor in Asian American Studies; working in the MicroComputer Lab as a computer consultant; and participating in the Pilipino Cultural Night show and club activities. In 1997, she began her career at Berkeley Lab, first supporting the Nuclear Waste Program in the Earth Sciences Division (ESD) and is currently the Business Manager for the ESD.
Maryann also serves on the Berkeley Lab's Division Business Council (DBC) which contains representatives from each Scientific and Operational Division and meets bi-weekly to gather and disseminate information, problem solve, move issues to completion and share best practices. The intent of the DBC is to assess and identify priorities to help Berkeley Lab move forward.
