Biography
Julie Luera started her UCSB Career in Feb 1991 in the Counseling and Career Services as a Senior Clerk Typist. From there, Julie decided to join the Housing and Residential Services team and became a Contracts Representative for Family Student Housing and on-campus residence halls. After a few years, she received an offer she could not refuse to work for a new and upcoming software company in "the real world." It was a wonderful experience. She enjoyed the fast pace but missed the sense of security and community that UCSB offered. So, she returned to UCSB to work as a Financial Assistant to the Chancellor's Office. Four years later, opportunity knocked on her door once again. She is now the Budget and Finance Analyst in the College of Engineering and loves the challenges the new position brings. She has been a member of her local staff assembly for 5 years and accepted the position of co-chair which she will serve in for two years. She is very excited to have the opportunity to be a junior delegate for CUCSA this year.
