Biography
Jasu Prasad was born in Fiji Islands and obtained a Diploma in Business Studies at the Fiji Institute of Technology. She was employed by the Reserve Bank of Fiji before migrating to United States in 1988.
She is happily married to Rameshwar Prasad, General Manager for Del Taco and has two lovely daughters Jessica Ranjana Prasad who is currently studying at the California State University Sacramento and Jasmine Ranjala Prasad who is in the 11th grade.
Jasu joined UCDMC in 1991 as a Radiology Assistant. She worked for the Surgery Clinic and for the Emergency Department.
At the moment she is a Food Service Supervisor II for the Food and Nutrition Service Department. She supervises, directs, coordinates, plans and monitors Union contracted staff as well as patient meals, cafeteria, catering and retail services. She also maintains quantity and quality food control and oversees daily functions including Host, Tray line, Diet Kitchen, Storeroom and Productions areas. Prasad obtained a Supervisory Certificate through the University of California Davis, Staff Development and Professional Services.
She has served on the UC Davis Staff Assembly Executive Committee since 2007 and is a current CUCSA delegate from Davis.
Prasad believes her collaboration, dedication and leadership will support the UC Davis Health Systems' teaching, research, community service and patient care mission.
