Substance-Abuse Treatment Symposium
At the request of Senator John Burton's office, CPRC helped plan, provided materials for, and co-sponsored a one-day symposium for legislators as well as legislative and executive branch staff concerning the latest research in substance-abuse prevention and treatment., best partactices in and the cost-effectiveness of treatment, needs and challenges of special populations and linking substance-abuse research to practice.

Policy Briefings: Research findings of particularly and timely concern may result in a live policy briefing event. Hosted by CPRC, often in collaboration with other organizations, these events are held in Sacramento as well as in other cities around the State and are targeted to policymakers, other researchers, non-profit organizations, and other interested parties.
