Deborah Wylie

Associate Vice President of Capital Programs

Deborah WylieDeborah Wylie is Associate Vice President of Capital Programs. Wylie has responsibility for managing and implementing the university's capital resources, acquisitions, and facilities development. Deborah's areas of responsibility include capital planning; design services; construction services; real estate services; sustainability; and physical and environmental planning. This includes state and non-state funded capital projects; real estate leases and acquisitions; seismic and sustainability policy development; as well as advocacy in Sacramento for capital funding and sponsored legislation.

Wylie was previously in higher education at the California State University (CSU) system, serving to develop their newest campus at Channel Islands (establishing a new university in the abandoned Camarillo State Hospital); as University Architect in the Chancellor's Office; and as Campus Architect at Cal State Northridge leading reconstruction after the 1994 Northridge earthquake. Previously, she was in private architectural practice in the Los Angeles area in entertainment and residential construction.

Deborah earned a B.A. in Architecture and an M.S. in Structural Engineering from UC Berkeley, and an MBA from Cal State Long Beach. She has been a registered architect in California since 1982 and holds NCARB Certification.
