Alternative work schedule programs

Employee Reduction in Time (ERIT)

The ERIT program is available to UCOP employees who wish to voluntarily reduce their percentage of appointment. Participation in ERIT is limited to represented employees and subject to agreement by the applicable union.

Local Human Resources manages the ERIT program. Additional information and forms are available at the HR ERIT web page. This program has been extended through June 2014.

Work schedule changes

The objective of the alternate work schedule is to allow employees flexibility in scheduling their work hours based on departmental approval and subject to established terms and conditions. More information is available in HR Personnel Policies - Procedures 31 (pdf).

Phased Retirement

The Phased Retirement Program is a reduction in time program which went into effective 1/1/12. Additional information is available at the At Your Service website.
