Statewide analysis

The number of UC-approved secondary CTE courses in California private schools increased statewide from 1727 to 1890, an increase of 8.6 percent compared to last year. Of the 982 private schools reviewed, 368 or 37.4 percent have one or more UC-approved CTE courses.

A-G subject requirements

In analyzing the “a-g” courses offered in private high schools, CTE courses have been approved in all “a-g” subject areas. There were substantial increases from the previous year in courses approved in the “d” subject area (13 percent), "e" subject area (20.4 percent) and “g” subject area (6.7 percent).
