Annual Fall Meeting

This year's Annual Fall Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2009, at the Hilton Oakland Airport Hotel.   The Annual Fall Meeting offers workshops and discussion groups for mentors and fellows on such topics as mentoring, publishing, grant writing, navigating the academic job market and the tenure process.  This meeting provides opportunities to network with faculty, other President's Postdoctoral Fellows and the Dissertation-Year Fellowship Program. All new and continuing fellows are encouraged to attend this event.

2009 Academic Spring Retreat

This year's retreat was held April 17 through April 19, 2009, at the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Conference Center.  All fellows and mentors who attended found the retreat to be a very worthwhile and enjoyable program event. The Retreat was developed to provide opportunities for postdoctoral fellows to present research papers and to receive both substantive and stylistic feedback on their presentations.  The retreat was also an opportunity to network with UC faculty members and other postdoctoral fellows and relax in the beautiful environment of Lake Arrowhead.
